It has been seven weeks since my last confession. I posted from Saint Malo in late July, enjoying a summer that was late to arrive. Now, we’re coming up to mid-September and the summer seems here to stay.
Have I been lounging around all this time? Well… partly. As much as a personality like mine will allow, anyway. The truth is I held back posting until now because I was intending to use this post to promote a radio interview I did in early September. Only, I didn’t do the interview. Don’t worry, it will happen. It was just postponed by technical issues and an upcoming house move, and it will take place sometime in October instead.
I did write a guest article for the Review Tales site, though. If you haven’t seen it already, here’s a link. It’s inspired by handling childcare through the summer holidays.
So, what can I write about now? Well, I have to share that my main achievement these past weeks has been completing an edit of my second novel, Yesterday’s Shadow (the one I finished before starting Dead Letters). I mentioned it in my last post with a bit of trepidation, but now I can share that it’s real, it’s happening. After a thorough copy edit, that is.
As I’m a bit of a tease, I’m going to share the foreword with you here. ETA for publication is early 2024. After I’ve finished editing, I need to sort out the cover, typesetting, proofreading and other fun things. And did I mention, I’m moving house and doing a radio interview?
Until next time…
