I’ve never been one to say too much about myself, but I’m told that having a writer’s site is absolutely necessary if you want to get anywhere, so I’m stepping out of my comfort zone here.
I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was given a notepad and green biro (I remember it distinctly) at my great aunt’s one visit. Even then, my ideas were grand in scale, although I’d like to think my writing has improved since then – it certainly involves fewer surfing aliens, from the centre of the Earth.
I’ve written four novels and a novella since my teens, and have had various attempts to secure agent representation, plus significant periods of ‘living life’ – granting my stories time and space to grow, and giving myself the life experience to populate them.
Now, in 2022, I have completed two novels that I feel are good enough to enter into competitions and develop for self-publication. In this blog, I want to share with you my journey from having relatively polished manuscripts to getting them in print, and e-book, format.
