Okay, so Troubleshot launched yesterday, but I had a busy day, all right?
I’m writing from a train to Lucerne, where I’ll be running a half-marathon. The photo for this post is Gruyères, which looks a lot nicer when not viewed from a little phone on a speeding train.I’m listening to Stephen Fretwell’s latest album (which gets better with every listen, especially the last two tracks). My main distraction is the hope that this train will pass the merry town of Wankdorf on the way (am I the only one that finds this amusing?).
This would normally be the perfect opportunity to get in some writing, so I’ll keep this blog short and just say:
Hooray! It’s out there!
It’s been a long time coming. I finished Troubleshot over two years ago and took a pause to come back to it with fresh eyes. When it came to it, I decided it was pretty much ready to go and I didn’t want to spend another two years trying to find a publisher to have a possibility of it being read. So, here it is on Amazon, and it’s been a fascinating learning journey getting it there.
Next steps, once I recover from trying to run 22km when I’m so out of form: a bit of marketing Troubleshot (I’ll talk about this next time), before giving Dead Letters some attention, ahead of publishing it next year. And then, maybe, I’ll get around to writing something new!
For now, though, wish me luck! If you’re nice, I might share here a picture of me all sweaty and knackered. I do treat you, don’t I?
