Tomorrow (22nd January) I set off on my first book tour. One small clarification; it’s a virtual book tour, so the only place I’ll actually be going is work, and maybe to the gym, but the thought is there.
The book tour, organised by iRead Book Tours, was a prize from the Page Turner Awards, which selected Dead Letters as the genre winner for mystery books. Prior to this, I had never heard of virtual book tours, but they seem to be a thing, starting out during Covid lockdown, when tours of physical bookshops were out of the question. Instead, the book gets featured on various book blogger sites.
You can read more about it, and see the schedule for my virtual book tour here: https://www.ireadbooktours.com/blog—current-tours/spotlight-book-tour-dead-letters-by-pj-murphy
You’ll notice that not only is the book featured, but several stops will also include a guest post from me and a written interview. Talking of interviews, they also recorded a live interview with me, which is now on YouTube. Press play below, if you dare…
I haven’t watched it, because I’m terrified I’ll catch a glimpse of myself – which, given that this is an interview with me, seems extremely likely.
In other news, I’ve spent every moment I could this weekend listening to the audiobook recording of Dead Letters. I’m hoping to get it out while all this publicity is going on. But that will be the subject of my next post…
Until then, you’re invited to drop and say hello at the book tour stops. And feel free to tell me what the interview’s like – but please, be kind!
