Shortlisted!

Just a short post tonight, because I can’t help myself for sharing that Yesterday’s Shadow has been shortlisted for this year’s Page Turner Awards. https://pageturnerawards.com/2024-book-award-fiction-shortlist

Its strange to think that this book I wrote 17 years ago and quietly self-published this year is finding some success, but from the comments it’s getting, it seems to have struck a chord. It’s not a memoir, but it is a deeply personal book about growing up, family and faith. I didn’t market it much when I finally published it because I knew it wouldn’t be to everyone’s tastes – but now I’m wishing I had!

This is the first time my writing has been shortlisted in a competition. Last year, Dead Letters was longlisted for the same award and ended up being the category for mystery books. Next Wednesday, we’ll hear which of the 21 shortlisted books is the winner. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

And just in case this inspires you to want to read it, here’s a link. https://amzn.eu/d/hOFzD6u (Never miss an opportunity!)
